Star Trek Into Darkness Film Sequel Review
Star Trek Into Darkness 2013 Film Sequel, delivers an American science fiction action film to awaited fans. The twelfth motion picture in the Star Trek franchise and follow up
to 2009's Star Trek.
Boxofficemojo:
"Star Trek Into Darkness is the 12th Star Trek movie, and the first movie since director J.J. Abrams rebooted the franchise with 2009's Star Trek. The brand actually got its start as a TV show which ran from 1966 to 1968; while it wasn't hugely successful, it did become one of the earliest forms of a "cult hit." With interest in intergalactic sci-fi renewed following the success of Star Wars in 1977, the show's crew was brought together for 1979's Star Trek: The Motion Picture. While it didn't do Star Wars-level business, it was still a hit with $82.3 million (or $260 million adjusted for ticket price inflation)."
This is a great movie that reintroduced one of Star Trek's most recognized villains. This film is rife with multiple onscreen references to the Star Trek TV series, that would make any Trekker feel right at home or possibly overwhelmed.
The Klingon's are on a completely different level.
This universe significantly differs from the TV and movie series from the past. Praxis is gone (Klingon moon) and the Klingon's were left to fend for themselves.
The reactor scene was not as gripping for older fans (we have seen it all before), and to be frank long time watchers knew the solution, but no spoilers here. Everything else was well done, the effects are amazing, and for the Fanboys a trip into the warp room was spectacular. (How did they do that?)
For those new to the Star Trek media empire, look into the previous inceptions of the TV series from the 60's where Khan was introduced.
Movie Rating is 9/10! Action, Inventiveness, character evolution, fun, romance, surprises, visually engrossing. Go see this movie!

StarTrek.com/database, Space Seed: "A piece of one of history's great puzzles falls into place when Kirk's crew comes across the S.S. Botany Bay, an old-style, pre-warp sleeper ship from Earth that contains several bodies in stasis. Amongst these bodies is Khan Noonien Singh, a genetically engineered strongman and one of the great leaders of Earth's Eugenics War of the 1990s. Although he disappeared without a trace then, once Khan is aroused from his long sleep he soon reveals the ambition, strength and intelligence that helped him conquer a quarter of the Earth."Benedict Cumberbatch, is one of the best villains in years. Truly frightening and seemingly unbeatable. He will be returning, so that may turn out to be true.
